Tapping away frustration

Have you been feeling frustrated during the past 12 months of lockdowns and restrictions? Fed up with homeschooling? Working from home? Too many zoom meetings and too much screen time? Not being able to go to places and do things that you want? Hate wearing a mask? Angry with the government? With people who don’t take social distancing as seriously as you do?

We have all felt our individual frustrations and even anger due to the unprecedented pandemic situation we have been in. EFT tapping can help! Here is a tapping script to get you started.

*If you are new to tapping, first watch some of my free videos to learn how to tap.*

Please bear in mind these tips for using tapping scripts effectively:

·        Tapping scripts are a guide, to give you ideas of what to say. Tailor it to resonate with YOUR feelings and words. If something doesn’t resonate with you, leave it out or change it to something that works for you. Be specific not global (‘frustrated with too many Zoom meetings’, not just ‘frustrated’).

·        If you get triggered or overwhelmed, drop the words and KEEP TAPPING. Just use No-Words Tapping until you feel calm, and seek the help of a qualified EFT practitioner or other healthcare professional.

·        Say the words out loud as you tap on each of the points.

·        Before you tap, rate your feeling on the topic from 0-10 where 0 is no intensity and 10 is very high intensity. Each time through the points rate it again. Keep repeating the tapping script, changing the words as you need, until you reach 1 or 0. If you get stuck around a 4 or 5, probably something else is coming up – please reach out if you need help.

TAPPING SCRIPT FOR LOCKDOWN FRUSTRATION

Side of the hand: Even though I feel so frustrated about not being able to do things and go places freely, deep down I am OK.

Even though I’m angry with the government and how they’re dealing with it, that’s where I am right now.

Even though I feel this anger and frustration {e.g. in my head} and it’s like {e.g. a big red cloud exploding}, that is just the way I feel at this moment.

Eyebrow: Frustrated I can’t go where I want

Side of the eye: Angry with the government

Under the eye: Frustrated I can’t do what I want

Under the nose: This {e.g. angry red cloud} in my {e.g. head}

Under the mouth: Frustrated my freedom is restricted

Collarbone: I’m fed up, it’s been so long now

Under the arm: I hate wearing a mask

Top of the head: It’s like a {e.g. big red cloud exploding} in my {e.g. head}

Side of the hand: Even though I’m so frustrated and angry about lockdown, deep down I am OK and I know it’s only temporary.

Even though I feel this anger and frustration {e.g. in my chest} and it’s like {e.g. a white hot ball}, that is where I am right now.

Even though I’m so angry with other people not being careful, I accept that this is how I’m feeling at the moment.

Eyebrow: Frustrated about lockdown

Side of the eye: This {e.g. white hot ball} of anger in my {e.g. chest}

Under the eye: Other people aren’t careful and it makes me feel angry – what is wrong with them?!

Under the nose: Wearing a mask is so frustrating, I want to rip it off and breathe freely

Under the mouth: It’s like a {e.g. white hot ball} of anger in my {e.g chest}

Collarbone: I can’t go where I want

Under the arm: I can’t do what I want

Top of the head: I’m fed up with other people and the restricting environment

Side of the hand: Even though I still have some of this remaining anger, I’m starting to feel the energy flowing more now.

Even though I still feel some frustration and anger, I choose to move this energy out of my system.

Even though I still feel some of this {e.g. red cloud} anger in my {e.g. head}, I choose to gently allow it to leave.

Eyebrow: This remaining lockdown anger and frustration

Side of the eye: This remaining {e.g. white hot / red cloud} anger in my {e.g. head / chest}

Under the eye: I choose to feel the energy moving

Under the nose: I choose to move the anger and frustration out of my system

Under the mouth: I choose to gently allow it to leave

Collarbone: This remaining lockdown anger and frustration in my {head / chest}

Under the arm: I choose to feel the energy moving and flowing freely

Top of the head: I choose to release any remaining lockdown anger and frustration from my body and energy system
